Turkey Earthquake, November 1999

During Turkey earthquake number 2, (no pictures available as there was no time) we were rushed to every single site in the country. With our low light cameras, we helped to find a multitude of bodies in a local grocery store under 10 floors of concrete. The Austrian para rescue team was great to work with.

Later the next day, a 40 year old women was found alive. A special thanks to the Red Cresent, and the Turkish Airlines.

Waking up the families waiting for news of their loved ones when we come out of a building was the hardest part. Many times all the family got was a body so crushed there was nothing but blood soaked clothes!

Even though we wear bright orange Christian gear, in a mostly Muslem country, we had few problems, praise God!
